So, something fun happened to me the other day. I was chosen by the darling Aimee at Confessions of a Noona Fan for The Sunshine Award! As this is my very first blogging award, I am super-duper honored. Thanks, Aimee!
(Am I the only one who thinks “Brady Bunch” when I hear the word “sunshine”? Yes, I probably am.)
The Sunshine Award is given to bloggers who are positive, inspiring and spread a little sunshine with their blogs. It’s kind of like an online chain letter, but spreads happiness and light instead of ominous threats of bad luck. 🙂

*What inspired you to start blogging?
I’d been blogging off and on for almost ten years now. I had a mommy blog, a travel blog, a food blog, a nostalgia blog, and even a my-life-sucks-and-this-is-my-ranting blog…but nothing ever felt like me. I couldn’t be bothered keeping up with my various blogs because they didn’t feel authentic. It was only after I could finally embrace my inner fangirl that I allowed myself to really, truly put myself on a page (or a screen, as it were).
So, in essence, allowing myself to be me inspired me to start blogging again.
*What is your favourite thing to blog about?
My favorite thing to blog about is music. I love music. I live for music. Music fuels me, and energizes me, and brings me joy and peace and harmony. Yes, it might sound corny, but music is that important to me. As I’ve always had a thing for boy bands, and pop music is my guilty pleasure, I could write about K-Pop boys for the rest of my life and be a very happy camper.
*How would you, ideally, spend a day off?
Being a stay-at-home wife and mom, a day off is hard to come by. Even when I’m doing my own thing (which is writing), I’m always conscious of the other things going on in my life. Such as chores. Ugh, I have a load of laundry sitting in a cold dryer as I type this!
Anyway, if I didn’t have to worry about family and home life, I would spend my day writing at the beach, with a drink in hand, headphones on, and music blasting.
*What do you like doing to cheer yourself up when you are feeling down?
I listen to music daily, to keep me sane. But if that doesn’t help to ward off the sad or bad thoughts, I watch YouTube videos of one of my favorite groups. Not music videos, but reality shows or variety shows. I don’t know where I’d be without B.A.P on Weekly Idol. It’s been my go-to cheer-up for almost a year now!
*What are the top 5 songs you currently can’t get enough of?
This is not in any particular order:
*You’ve won front tickets to any concert of your choice. Who are you going to go see?
I think it would be a cop-out to wish for a festival with all my favorite groups, so I will force myself to choose one group. 🙂
There is only one group I haven’t yet seen either really close, or front row, that I would give my unborn puppies to see.
That would be VIXX.
I saw them at their Milky Way Showcase, and again at KCON, but I NEED to see these boys front row. I just need to! I must have eye contact with Hongbin. I need that smile to shine down on me. I need for him to know I exist!
Haha. Wow. Way to be a spazzy fangirl, huh?
Okay. Now it’s my turn to ask questions!
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
- What was the best concert, gig, performance, or festival you’ve ever been to?
- What is your go-to karaoke/noraebang song (or your hairbrush-mic in the mirror song if you’re shy)?
- Choose one: Would you want to be a rock star or a movie star?
- If money or time was not a concern, what one thing would you love to try or learn how to do?
- Who was your very first celebrity crush?
And now the nominees:
